Commissioning Provider Certification Programs

Certification is one indicator of a Commissioning Provider's proficiency in implementing the commissioning process in new and existing buildings. There are a number of organizations offering Commissioning Provider certification - each with varying requirements for education; professional experience; demonstrated mastery of commissioning fundamentals through experience and commissioning coursework.

The CCC recommends minimum requirements for Commissioning Provider certification requirements with relation to education, professional experience, commissioning experience, and coursework and testing. Certifications that meet the thresholds described within this document will provide reasonable assurance of a provider's ability to successfully perform standard commissioning services.
